Working With Us
From the problem to
a clear intervention.
We do not begin with a package of services. We begin by understanding the problem. Diagnosis shows what is happening, prioritisation decides what deserves attention, and the mandate defines the work required.
01Diagnosis+
We begin with publicly available information and, where useful, a limited client conversation to verify context.
Diagnosis is complimentary. Its role is to determine whether there is a problem that warrants PERPETVM’s work. It does not include strategy, production of deliverables or extended analysis of internal data.
02Prioritisation+
We separate symptoms from causes and decide which problem deserves attention first. We do not choose the problem that best fits our services.
The outcome may be: A PILOT / PREREQUISITE ACTION / EXTERNAL EXPERTISE / NO INTERVENTION.
03Pilot — the first mandate+
The Pilot is the first bounded, paid mandate. It is the smallest intervention capable of addressing the priority problem and producing something concrete enough to apply and evaluate.
It is not a standard package and not a sample designed to automatically sell a larger project.
Before work begins, we define: PROBLEM → OBJECTIVE → STRATEGY → REQUIRED APPLICATIONS → DELIVERABLES → TIMELINE → FEE → VALIDATION → OUT OF SCOPE.
04Validation+
After application, we examine what became clearer, what worked, what remains unproven and what we learned.
The outcome may be: VALIDATED / PARTIALLY VALIDATED / NOT VALIDATED / INCONCLUSIVE / NEW FINDING.
We do not turn activity into claims of sales or commercial results that the evidence cannot support.
05What next? ◇+
The Pilot does not require a continuation. If the problem it was built to address has been resolved and there is no clear reason for another intervention, the mandate ends.
If the evidence shows that further work is justified, the options may include: ADJUST OR REFINE / NEW MANDATE / EXTERNAL EXPERTISE. The client decides separately whether to commission a new mandate.
Inside a mandate
Strategy → required applications → validation
A mandate does not begin by choosing deliverables. It begins with a problem. We select only the applications that have a clear role in addressing and validating it.
Strategy
Sets the direction for the problem we have decided to address.
Positioning
Clarifies the distinct place the offer should occupy for the relevant client.
Value proposition
Clarifies why the offer is worth choosing against its alternatives.
Offer structure
Organises what is being offered so value and differences are easy to understand.
Messaging and verbal direction
Define what needs to be said, in what order and how the project should sound.
Creative and visual direction
Turns strategy into a coherent visual expression across image, photography, film, composition and rhythm.
Website / project page
Organises information so the client can understand the offer, differences, proof and what to do next.
Film / video
Turns the defined direction into a visual story for websites, presentations and sales, launches, campaigns or digital channels. The mandate may cover concept, script and creative direction; production is defined separately when required.
Sales materials
Bring strategy into the commercial conversation through presentations, brochures, proposals or other necessary materials.
Client journey
Clarifies the experience from first contact to viewing, reservation, purchase or another relevant decision.
Place experience
Where relevant, turns strategy into space, access, service, moments and the behaviour of the place.
Concepts and prototypes
Make the direction concrete and testable before a broader implementation.
After the Pilot
Continuation needs a reason.
One mandate
If the problem has been resolved and there is no other relevant need, the engagement ends. That is a valid outcome.
Several mandates, when justified
A new problem may lead to a new mandate. Each has its own problem, objective, strategy, applications, timeline, fee and validation. Completing one does not automatically create the next.
Ongoing partnership
Appropriate only when the business has a genuine recurring strategic need: market changes, new projects or offers, evolving position, websites, film, launches, materials, client experience or other decisions that need direction over time. It is not continuous content production, and we do not invent activity to justify a retainer.
Principle
Diagnosis shows what is happening. Prioritisation decides what to address. The mandate turns that decision into strategy and concrete applications. Validation tells us whether there is a reason to continue.
Rights relating to mandate-specific deliverables are agreed before work begins. PERPETVM methods, tools and know-how that pre-exist the mandate remain PERPETVM property. Any later public use of the project by PERPETVM is agreed with the client.
